DonoLink frequently asked questions
Learn how contributions, fees and payouts work.
Does DonoLink work in my country?
Yes, DonoLink works in every EU country except Germany, where donolink.de is coming soon. The Netherlands, Belgium, France and Spain have their own site (donolink.nl, donolink.be, donolink.fr and donolink.es); streamers in the other 22 EU countries, such as Austria, Italy, Poland, Portugal and Sweden, use donolink.eu. Viewers pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay everywhere, plus local methods per country: BLIK and Przelewy24 in Poland, Satispay in Italy, EPS in Austria, Swish in Sweden, MobilePay in Denmark and Finland, MB WAY and Multibanco in Portugal. Payouts arrive in your own currency, such as euro, złoty or krona.
What exactly does a donation through DonoLink cost?
DonoLink normally charges 3.5% per donation, with no subscription or setup fee. Stripe separately charges the creator's connected account the actual processing fee for the payment method used.
How much do I keep from a €10 donation?
With a standard European card you keep about €9.25 of a €10 donation: DonoLink deducts 3.5% (€0.35) and Stripe charges its standard EEA card fee of 1.5% + €0.25 (€0.40). This example is in euro; other methods such as BLIK, Swish or EPS have their own Stripe rates, and premium or non-EEA cards cost more.
Which payment methods can a viewer use?
Card, Apple Pay and Google Pay work in every EU country when Stripe supports them for the creator's account and the viewer's device. Local methods depend on the creator's country, such as BLIK and Przelewy24 in Poland, Satispay in Italy, EPS in Austria or Swish in Sweden, and appear once Stripe has activated them for the account. PayPal is coming soon. Checkout shows the current options.
Does the donor pay extra fees?
By default, the donor pays only the chosen amount. They may choose to cover only the displayed DonoLink platform fee; Stripe processing fees remain with the creator.
When is a contribution confirmed?
A contribution counts only after Stripe confirms the payment. A bank transfer can take longer because Stripe must first receive and match the funds.
Does a viewer need a DonoLink account?
No. A viewer can contribute without a DonoLink account. The creator needs a DonoLink account and a completed Stripe connection.
Where does the creator receive the money?
The payment is processed directly on the creator's connected Stripe account. DonoLink's fee and the actual Stripe costs are handled separately; the net amount and payout can be checked in Stripe.
Can a large channel receive a different rate?
Yes. For consistently high donation volume, DonoLink can agree an individual rate. Contact us with your expected volume; a custom rate only applies after written confirmation.
How much do I keep from a donation?
The net amount depends on the donation, any optional coverage of DonoLink's fee and the processing fees Stripe actually charges the connected account. Your Stripe statement shows them after payment.
Who is behind DonoLink?
DonoLink is a trade name of Tovix, a Dutch sole proprietorship based in Eindhoven and registered with the Netherlands Chamber of Commerce (KVK 98227475, VAT NL005316890B06). Stripe processes payments on each creator's connected account. Contact: support@donolink.nl.
Is it safe to donate with DonoLink?
Stripe processes the payment, which goes to the creator's connected Stripe account. Stripe handles the full payment details; DonoLink does not store full card numbers, IBANs or identity documents. Always check that the creator shared the link themselves.
Can I use DonoLink if I am under 18?
Creators must be at least 18. A minor can only use DonoLink through a parent with parental responsibility or a legal guardian who manages the account in their own name and accepts the terms. Donors must be 18 or older, or have prior permission from a parent or legal guardian.
