DonoLink is a European donation platform for streamers, available in Hungary for creators on Twitch, YouTube, Kick and TikTok LIVE. Your viewers tip you in Hungarian forints and the money lands in your own bank account in HUF, without a detour through euro. Donors can pay with Revolut Pay, a card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, and nobody needs an account to do it.
Hungary is in the EU but not in the euro area, and that has a very practical side for streamers. A lot of donation tools quietly work in euro or US dollars. Your viewer sees a strange amount, their bank converts it, and later your payout gets converted again. Every step nibbles a little off the tip, and nobody in chat is quite sure what 5 euro is in forints on any given day.
With DonoLink you set your donation page up in HUF. Your presets are forint amounts your community actually thinks in, the alerts on stream show forints, and your payout goes to your Hungarian bank account in HUF. Amounts are always whole forints, so you will not see odd decimals on your page or in your balance: a 1,000 forint tip is simply 1,000 forints.
That also makes it easier to talk about money with your viewers. A goal bar that says 50,000 Ft for a new microphone is something everyone in a Hungarian chat understands at a glance.
Every DonoLink page supports Visa and Mastercard, Apple Pay and Google Pay. For Hungary, Revolut Pay is switched on by default as the local extra. Plenty of people in Hungary already use the Revolut app next to their regular bank account, for travel or for splitting costs with friends, so for them a tip is a few taps and a confirmation in the app.
Local methods appear for donors once Stripe has activated them on your account, so DonoLink lets you offer Revolut Pay rather than promising it on day one. In your settings you can add other methods Stripe allows for HUF, up to six per donation page. PayPal is coming soon; it is not available yet.
Most streamers in Hungary build their community in Hungarian, on Twitch and YouTube, and more and more on Kick and TikTok LIVE. Your donation page works the same on all of them: one link in your panel, your bio or your chat bot, and every tip triggers an alert in OBS.
You can write your own alert texts in Hungarian, use text to speech for donor messages, filter out swear words and links, and set a minimum amount before a message is read out. Linky, the DonoLink chat bot, can post your donation link in chat so you do not have to keep typing it.
DonoLink charges 3.5% per successful donation. There is no monthly subscription and no setup fee. Stripe charges its own processing costs separately on your account; those depend on the payment method and the card, so check your Stripe dashboard for the exact numbers. If a donor wants, they can choose to cover the DonoLink fee on top of their tip.
Payouts run through Stripe Connect to your own bank account. You verify your identity with Stripe once, and then your forint balance goes straight to your account. Refunds and disputes are handled by Stripe on your account, just like with any online shop.
Streamlabs and StreamElements both offer tipping pages, Ko-fi is popular for support pages, and some streamers simply post a PayPal.me link. Each of these can work. Before you choose, check three things on their own websites: which currency your donors pay in, which payment methods they can use, and what you pay per tip. DonoLink focuses on keeping everything in forints, offering wallets and Revolut Pay, and showing every tip as an alert in OBS.
One more thing: donations can be income. Check the rules with NAV, the Hungarian tax authority, or ask an adviser about your own situation.
Yes. Hungarian streamers can create a free donation page, take tips in forints and receive payouts in HUF to their own bank account via Stripe Connect.
In forints. Your page, your alerts and your balance use HUF, always in whole forints, so there is no conversion for you or your viewers.
Revolut Pay is on by default for Hungary and appears for donors once Stripe has activated it on your account. Cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay are always available.
Not yet. PayPal is coming soon. Until then donors can use a card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or Revolut Pay.
Donations can count as income. Look at the information from NAV or ask a tax adviser, because it depends on your situation.
No. They open your link, choose an amount in forints, add a message if they like and pay.
