Stream donations in Bulgaria, now in euro

DonoLink is a European donation platform for streamers, available in Bulgaria for creators on Twitch, YouTube, Kick and TikTok LIVE. Since Bulgaria switched to the euro on 1 January 2026, your donations and payouts simply run in EUR. Viewers can tip you with Revolut Pay, a card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, without creating an account.

Bulgaria and the euro: what changes for your donations

On 1 January 2026 Bulgaria joined the euro area, and the euro replaced the lev at the fixed rate of 1.95583 lev per euro. For streamers that is good news. Your donors now pay in the same currency as viewers in much of the rest of the EU, and you receive your payouts in euro in your Bulgarian bank account without any conversion.

It also means your viewers are still getting used to the new prices. If you used to ask for 10 lev, the closest round amount now is 5 euro. On DonoLink you set your own preset amounts, so pick numbers that feel natural to your chat, like 2, 5, 10 or 20 euro, and adjust them later once everyone is used to thinking in euro.

Your Bulgarian bank handles everything in EUR now, so a payout from Stripe lands as a normal euro transfer. No lev, no exchange fees, no surprises at the end of the month.

How Bulgarian viewers can tip you

Every DonoLink page supports Visa and Mastercard plus Apple Pay and Google Pay, so anyone with a bank card or a phone wallet can donate in a few seconds. For Bulgaria, Revolut Pay is switched on by default as the local extra. If a viewer already uses Revolut alongside their main bank, confirming a tip in the app is quicker than typing card details.

Local methods appear once Stripe has activated them on your account, so you can offer Revolut Pay, but it is not guaranteed on the first day. Because you work in euro, you can also switch on other euro methods Stripe supports, up to six per page, for example if you have a lot of viewers from another EU country. PayPal is coming soon.

Made for Bulgarian streams

Bulgarian streamers usually build their community in Bulgarian, on Twitch and YouTube, with Kick and TikTok LIVE growing too. Your DonoLink page works on all of them with one link. Write your alert texts in Bulgarian, use text to speech for messages, and decide which words and links get filtered out.

In OBS you add alerts, a goal bar, recent donations and a leaderboard as browser sources. Linky, the DonoLink chat bot, can share your donation link in chat. You do not need to code anything: everything is set up from your dashboard.

Fees, payouts and refunds

DonoLink charges 3.5% per successful donation, no monthly plan and no setup fee. Stripe charges its own processing costs separately on your account; they depend on the payment method, so check your Stripe dashboard. Donors can choose to cover the DonoLink fee on top of their tip.

Payouts go through Stripe Connect to your own bank account in euro after a one time identity check with Stripe. If a donor asks their bank for a refund or opens a dispute, Stripe handles it on your account.

Other ways to take tips

Streamlabs and StreamElements both offer tipping, Ko-fi works as a support page, and a PayPal.me link is the quick and simple option. Look at their own pricing pages and check which payment methods your Bulgarian viewers can actually use. DonoLink keeps it simple: euro in and out, Revolut Pay and wallets for donors, and alerts built in.

Donations can be income. Check the rules with the National Revenue Agency (NAP) or ask an adviser.
