DonoLink is a European donation platform for streamers, available in Sweden for creators on Twitch, YouTube, Kick and TikTok LIVE. Your viewers can donate with Swish, a card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, in Swedish kronor, and you get paid out in SEK to your own Swedish bank account. There is no subscription: DonoLink takes 3.5% per successful donation.
In Sweden, Swish is so normal that it became a verb. People swish each other for fika, for a second hand bike, for a share of the cabin rental. So when a viewer wants to say thanks during your stream, the most natural thing is to swish you a few kronor, not to dig out a card or log in to PayPal.
With DonoLink, Swish shows up on your donation page as a Swedish option. On a phone, the viewer is sent straight to the Swish app and confirms with BankID. On a desktop, they scan a QR code with Swish. The whole thing takes seconds, and the alert can pop up on your stream right after.
This page is written in English, which is also one of the languages of the DonoLink.eu dashboard. Your Swedish donors don't need to read any of it: they see amounts in kronor and the payment methods they already use.
Swish is switched on by default for Swedish creators. Like every local method, it appears for donors once Stripe has activated it on your account, so you can offer it, but Stripe decides when it goes live. You can show up to six methods per page. PayPal is not available yet; it is coming soon.
Sweden kept its own currency, and that matters for streamers. Many donation tools charge everything in euro or dollars, which means your viewer sees an odd amount and you lose a bit on conversion before the money reaches your account. DonoLink charges Swedish donors in SEK and pays you out in SEK to your Swedish bank account through Stripe Connect. What your viewer swishes is what you see on your balance, minus fees.
Those fees are simple. DonoLink takes 3.5% of each successful donation. Stripe charges its own processing costs separately to your account, and they differ per payment method. A donor can choose to cover the DonoLink fee so you receive the full donation. Refunds and disputes go through Stripe on your account; for Swish, Stripe notes there is no standard dispute process, so a donor with a problem contacts you directly.
Swedish streamers move easily between Swedish and English, and many chats mix viewers from Sweden, Finland, Norway and the rest of the world. Swish only works for people with Swedish bank accounts, but everyone else can still donate by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Their bank handles any conversion from their own currency to SEK.
Whether you run a cosy Swedish Just Chatting stream, competitive Counter Strike or late night horror games, DonoLink gives you OBS browser sources for donation alerts, a goal bar, a top supporter leaderboard and a recent donations list. Follows, subs, raids and cheers from Twitch, Kick and YouTube can trigger alerts as well, and Linky, the DonoLink chatbot, can share your donation link in chat.
Streamlabs and StreamElements bundle overlays, bots and tipping. They are worth a look, but check which payment methods Swedish viewers get and in which currency they are charged. Ko-fi is strong for memberships and shops and pays out through PayPal or Stripe. A PayPal.me link is easy, yet it shows nothing on stream by itself. DonoLink keeps it focused: Swish, SEK payouts, a flat 3.5% fee and overlays in one place.
Donations can be taxable income. Check what Skatteverket says about income from streaming and hobby activities on skatteverket.se, or talk to an accountant. Your DonoLink dashboard lists every donation and payout, which helps when you fill in your declaration.
