Stream donations for creators in Malta

DonoLink is a European donation platform for streamers, available in Malta for creators on Twitch, YouTube, Kick and TikTok LIVE. Your viewers tip in euro with Revolut Pay, a card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, and your payouts go to your own bank account. You get a free donation page and OBS alerts, without a subscription.

Streaming from Malta to an English speaking world

Malta has two official languages, Maltese and English, and that gives Maltese streamers an unusual choice. Stream in Maltese and you build a close local community where everyone knows everyone. Stream in English and your chat can fill up with viewers from the UK, Ireland and far beyond. Many creators do a bit of both.

Either way, your donation page should feel effortless for every viewer. DonoLink runs in euro, Malta's currency since 2008. A viewer in Valletta, Gozo or Manchester can tip you with a card or phone wallet in seconds, and you receive euro in your Maltese bank account, with no conversion on your side.

You write your own alert texts, so you can say grazzi to a local regular and thank an international viewer in English in the same stream.

How donors in Malta can pay

DonoLink supports Visa and Mastercard, Apple Pay and Google Pay on every page. For Malta, Revolut Pay is switched on by default as the local extra, a natural fit for viewers who already use Revolut for everyday payments.

Local methods appear once Stripe has activated them on your account, so you can offer Revolut Pay, but Stripe decides when it shows up. In your settings you can add other euro methods Stripe supports, with a maximum of six per page. PayPal is coming soon; it is not available yet.

Viewers from the UK can tip you too. They pay with their card or wallet, and you still receive euro.

Alerts, goals and a chat bot

Add alerts, a donation goal, recent donations and a leaderboard to OBS as browser sources. You choose the fonts, colours and sounds, and text to speech can read messages out loud. Filters for swear words and links keep things tidy, which helps when your chat is international.

Linky, the DonoLink chat bot, can share your donation link in your Twitch or YouTube chat, so new viewers find it without you having to repeat yourself.

Fees and payouts

DonoLink charges 3.5% per successful donation, with no subscription and no setup fee. Stripe charges its own processing costs on your account; they depend on the payment method, so check your Stripe dashboard. Donors can choose to cover the DonoLink fee.

Payouts go through Stripe Connect to your own bank account after a one time identity check. Refunds and disputes are handled by Stripe on your account.

Comparing your options

Streamlabs and StreamElements tipping, Ko-fi and PayPal.me are well known, especially among English speaking streamers. Check their fees and payment methods on their own websites. DonoLink is built for European creators: euro payouts, Revolut Pay and wallets, and alerts ready in minutes.

Donations can be income. Check the rules with the Malta Tax and Customs Administration (MTCA, formerly the Commissioner for Revenue) or ask an adviser.
