Donations for streamers in Germany, through donolink.eu

DonoLink is a European donation platform for streamers, available in Germany through donolink.eu until donolink.de launches. If you stream on Twitch, YouTube, Kick or TikTok LIVE, you set up your donation page for free, add alerts and overlays to OBS and have your donations paid out in euro to your own bank account. Your viewers donate by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, without needing an account with us.

Why Germany runs on donolink.eu

A dedicated .de domain is planned, but it isn't live yet. So you don't have to wait: you sign up through donolink.eu right now and set up your donation page there. The page is available in German, your donations arrive in euro and payouts go to your German bank account.

For your viewers the domain makes no difference. They open your link, pick an amount, write a message and pay. They don't need a DonoLink account, and moments after the payment the alert appears on your stream.

How your viewers pay

Many people in Germany pay online by card or with their phone. That is why your donation page shows the options almost anyone can use straight away: Visa or Mastercard, Apple Pay on iPhone or Mac and Google Pay on Android or in the browser. With a wallet, a donation on mobile takes just a few taps, and that is exactly where many people watch your stream.

If they like, donors can cover the DonoLink fee, so you receive the full amount minus Stripe's costs. PayPal is coming to DonoLink soon, but it isn't available yet. We deliberately don't promise other payment methods until they actually work on your page.

Fees and payouts in euro

DonoLink keeps 3.5% of every successful donation and nothing else: no subscription, no setup fee, no charge for the overlays. Stripe charges its own payment costs separately on your account, and they vary by payment method. Donations arrive in euro and are paid out in euro to your bank account through Stripe Connect, with no currency conversion.

Before your first payout, Stripe checks your identity and bank account once, as any regulated payment provider does. Chargebacks and disputes go through Stripe on your account, and in your dashboard you see every donation with its amount, net amount and payment method. DonoLink is the trade name of a Dutch sole proprietorship: that business is the party you sign your agreement with, and Stripe processes the payments.

Overlays for Twitch, YouTube, Kick and TikTok LIVE

The alerts show name, amount and message, with text to speech, your own sound and animation if you want them. On top of that you get a goal bar, recent donations and a leaderboard of your top donors. Everything goes into OBS as a browser source in one click, no plugin needed. In Streamlabs Desktop you simply add the overlays via the link.

Linky, our chat bot for Twitch and YouTube, replies to !dono in chat with your donation link. With the filter for swear words and links you decide which messages reach your stream, and a minimum amount sets from when a message is shown and read out.

DonoLink and the well-known alternatives

Streamlabs and StreamElements are big all-in-one packages, but their donations often run largely through PayPal. Ko-fi suits creators in general but isn't built for live alerts. A PayPal.me link is quick to share, but donors need a PayPal account and you get no overlays. With DonoLink you have your donation page, payments and overlays in one place.

We deliberately don't compare other providers' fees here, because they change. Check the current terms directly with each provider.

Tax on donations in Germany

Donations from your stream can be taxable income. We don't give personal tax advice: check with your local tax office (Finanzamt) and ELSTER, or ask a tax adviser how to declare the income in your situation. Your DonoLink dashboard always gives you an overview of your donations and payouts.
